Mental disorders have a significant negative social and economic impact on SA society.
Who?
We are a partnership consisting of HPCSA registered educational and counselling psychologists. We are a South African Council of Educator (SACE) Type 3, (PR 13064) as an externally initiated provider. We provide accredited training courses to post level (1 to 4) Educators in South Africa. The courses empower educators to better their professional skills, comply with the compulsory personal development program and to benefit those children that they have the privilege to educate. We encourage excellence towards education and develop better equipped educators that will impact positively on learner performance.
Why?
From 2016 it is compulsory for all Educators in SA to do CPTD training with the aim of lifelong learning to improve their knowledge, skills & keep updated with new research. Educators are expected to achieve >150 PD points on Account in 3-year cycle, namely: Gold >300, Silver 200 – 299 & Bronze 150 – 199.
What?
SACE accredited courses are compiled within the context of psychological functioning of educators and students. Each course includes a 2 hours’ presentation accredited with 5 CPTD points per R200 for each educator. In all the courses, a character Metamorph is used.
Metamorph represents an identifiable character, independent of gender, age, and race, to help educators to face reality and take action to change in the school setting and in personal life. See below Table of 26 SACE accredited CPTD courses currently available.
